Veranda E at Hotel Escalante expands kitchen and menu to include "farm to table" dining experience

NAPLES, Fla. (Jan. 6, 2014) – Wild mushrooms grown in the rainy northwest, fresh fish from the waters of Hawaii and organic meats from the mountains of North Carolina represent a taste of what executive chef Michael Kang has in store for diners at Veranda E at Hotel Escalante in downtown Naples. Kang has big plans the tranquil courtyard restaurant, facilitated by a recent kitchen expansion that allows greater refrigeration and cooking capacity.

“Our kitchen expansion has created fantastic new possibilities as we plan our 2014 menus,” explained Kang. “New equipment and more space and storage have enabled us to increase our selections, add more organic options and heighten our creativity in the kitchen. For those who appreciate fine dining this is all very significant.”

World-renowned Chef Kang joined Veranda E, an accessory to the Hotel Escalante in February 2013, bringing his unique blending of ideas and tastes to the Naples culinary scene.

Hotel Escalante owner Mary Brandt also reported that the on-site organic garden will be completed in mid-January. Partnering with the 42-acre Wild Heritage Farm, Veranda E will feature Naples’ largest organic garden in a restaurant setting. Diners will have an opportunity to select their own vegetables for an immediate “farm to table” dining experience.
