Susan G. Komen Southwest Florida names Layton development director


BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. (July 8, 2013) – Charlie Myrick, executive director of Susan G. Komen Southwest Florida, recently named Sarah Layton development director. Layton will be responsible for the development of sponsorships and external marketing for upcoming fundraising events including: the Pink Promise Luncheon, the Stiletto Sprint and Race for the Cure.

“I look forward to enhancing the community relationships that Susan G. Komen Southwest Florida has built these past few years,” stated Layton. “My goal is to develop a partnership with Southwest Florida businesses that will accomplish their objectives while benefiting those whose lives are improved by the efforts of Susan G. Komen. “

Sarah Layton earned her bachelor of arts degree in political science from Clemson University and went on to graduate with honors from Florida State University with a master of arts degree in international affairs and a minor in public administration and emergency management. Layton speaks fluent Spanish and basic Mandarin Chinese. Layton currently serves on the board of the Naples Junior Women’s Club and is also a member of Coastal Conservation Association of Naples.
