Sarasota Jungle Gardens readies for magical nights and holiday lights


Sarasota, Fla (November 16, 2011) – Holiday excitement is building at Sarasota Jungle Gardens as their spectacular 10th annual Holiday Lights celebration gets underway. The event kicks off on Friday, Dec. 2, 2011 at 6 p.m. and takes place Dec. 2 through 4, Dec. 9 through 11, and Dec. 16 through Dec. 24.

With a bevy of holiday lights adorning Sarasota Jungle Gardens’ trails and exhibits, an exciting, family-friendly program of events and spectacles will take place. Master magician Nick Locapo will make his first appearance at the Gardens, entertaining twice each night at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. The popular Cory Music Show will once again perform an array of traditional seasonal songs and sing-a-longs.

Santa will be on hand for photos with the children, and guests are encouraged to get into the spirit of the season by bringing a toy to donate Toys for Tots.

For refreshments, there will be interactive cookie decorating in the Flamingo Café, plus a Holiday Fire Pit for roasting s’mores and hot dogs. A special dinner menu includes chicken bistro with pasta, spiral cut ham and cheese ravioli. The cost is $6 for the choice of one entrée, one side dish and a roll. Child-friendly meals are also available.
