Plans underway for Bonita/Estero Market Pulse 2013

BONITA SPRINGS, FL, (Nov. 19, 2012) – With the economic recovery our nation’s top priority, the Bonita Springs Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU), has announced that the seventh annual Bonita Estero Market Pulse will take place on Feb. 15, 2013 at Florida Gulf Coast University from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.

The 2013 keynote speaker is Federal Reserve Bank President and CEO Sandra Pianalto, Fourth District. Market Pulse is the only area event to feature a Federal Reserve Bank president for two of the past three years. Market Pulse will take place in the FGCU student union ballroom and the cost to attend is $30 per person for those who purchase before Jan. 4, 2013.

Popular local market trend forecaster Bradley Hunter, director of Metrostudy’s South Florida Division, will make a return appearance to report on Southwest Florida and the regional housing market.

Dr. Gary Jackson, director of the Regional Economic and Research Institute and assistant professor of economics at FGCU, will discuss his insights on the local economy as it relates to business professionals and local residents.

“The impact of Market Pulse revolves around its speakers and it is more important than ever that we address challenging economic issues,” said Dr. Jackson. “Ms. Pianalto will present a broader economic forecast, while Mr. Hunter and I will provide an overview and data on state and local market trends.”

“This event has grown and evolved to national stature over the past seven years,” said Nigel P. Fullick of Element Funding, Market Pulse chair. “Direct economic impact includes the fact that several students have received internships and full time jobs from area businesses attending the event. Market Pulse is a perfect example of the benefits of partnering with our Chamber of Commerce to positively impact our business community.”
