Joseph Mitchell, DDS completes criteria for Fellowship eligibility


FORT MYERS, Fla. (Jan. 28, 2013) – Joseph Mitchell, DDS of Mitchell Dentistry, a comprehensive dental practice based in Fort Myers, has passed the exam to become eligible for Fellowship (FAGD) with the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). Joseph Mitchell, DDS will undergo an additional 250 hours of continuing education for the next two to three years to complete all the requirements for FAGD status.

“Attaining this level of achievement not only furthers my own knowledge, but will allow my patients to receive the most advanced dental care,” commented Joseph Mitchell, DDS.

The FAGD status is awarded to AGD members who go above and beyond the required 75 hours of continuing education every three years. Dentists whom pursue a Fellowship must complete 500 hours of additional continuing dental education hours, pass a rigorous and comprehensive exam and maintain AGD membership for three continuous years. The entire process can take more than three years to complete.
