First local Dine Out for the Cure® announced by Susan G. Komen SWFL


BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. (June 27, 2013) – On July 25, eating out will be more than a culinary experience, it is an opportunity to help raise funds in the fight against breast cancer. Charlie Myrick, executive director of Susan G. Komen’s Southwest Florida affiliate, announced the first ever local Dine Out for the Cure® taking place throughout Southwest Florida.

Hundreds of area restaurants from downtown Naples to Coconut Point, Mercato, Bell Tower Shops. downtown Fort Myers and more have signed on to take action in the local fight against breast cancer. Some of these restaurants include; The Veranda, Morgan House, Christof’s on McGregor, Stir Crazy, Masa, Naples Flatbread & Wine Bar, Sea Salt and Lurcat.

Visitors to the can review the full list of participating restaurants who have agreed to donate 20%, 35% or 50% of the day’s proceeds to Susan G. Komen Southwest Florida in support of local breast health/breast cancer programs and breast cancer research.

As with all of Susan G. Komen’s efforts, 75% of funds raised stay right here in our community, while 25% goes to research.
