Bonita Springs gears up for Holiday in the Park


BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. (Nov. 11, 2011) – The City of Bonita Springs will kick off the holiday season with a flurry of winter activities, a snow slide and the arrival of Santa at the annual Holiday in the Park celebration on Tuesday, Dec. 6. The event is at Riverside Park in downtown Bonita Springs from 4:30-8:30 p.m.

There will be live entertainment by the Bonita Village Band, the Bonita Springs Elementary Choir and many others musical guests. In addition to the snow slide, there will be a snowfall area for kids, free cookies and apple cider, children and family activities, lighting of the city’s Christmas tree and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Community Policing Officers’ Holiday Parade escorting Santa Claus to Holiday in the Park. New this year is a second horse and carriage for rides around the park.

The Artist Cottages and Historical Society at the Liles Hotel will be open at Riverside Park during the event. In addition, many community organizations are also participating with holiday displays and activities.

Admission to Holiday in the Park is free. Guests can bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the festivities. Please keep pets and coolers at home.
