AMIkids Southwest Florida appoints new board members and new board chair


FORT MYERS, Fla. (Jan. 13, 2013) - AMIkids Southwest Florida has added Kate Walter, MA, APR, Kelli King, William Crouch and Matt Visaggio, MPA to its board of directors. Each board member will serve a two-year renewable term on the 15-member board. In addition to the new board members, AMIkids has also appointed Phyllis Ershowsky, APR, CPRC as the chairwoman. Ershowsky will serve a two-year term and has currently served on the board since 2010.

Kate Walter, MA, APR is the public relations and marketing manager at PKE Marketing & PR Solutions. She is an active member in the Bonita Springs Area Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals, the Florida Public Relations Association and Junior League of Fort Myers.

Kelli King recently relocated to Southwest Florida from North Carolina and is the planned giving/major gifts officer at Harry Chapin Food Bank. She specializes in non-profit fundraising and special event planning.

William Crouch is a retired entrepreneur who moved from West Palm Beach. Crouch has lived in Lee County since 2000. 

Matt Visaggio, MPA is the principal and founder of Visaggio Community Consulting and he also teaches a class in public administration at Florida Gulf Coast University. In addition to AMIkids, Visaggio is heavily involved in Literacy Council Gulf Coast, the FGCU Alumni Association and Take Stock in Children.

Phyllis Ershowsky, APR, CPRC is the principal of PKE Marketing & PR Solutions. In addition to AMIkids, she sits on the board of the Bonita Springs Area Chamber of Commerce and is actively involved in the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA). Phyllis was recently named FPRA’s member of the year and PR professional of the year for 2013.
