NAPLES, FL (October 4, 2012) – Wegman Design Group received three awards at the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) South Florida Chapter’s annual gala. Lori Wegman, ASID, IIDA, and her design team received Design Excellence Awards for Monaco Beach Club, LeJardin condominium and Aston Gardens – Sun City Clubhouse. The event took place on Sept. 29 at the Naples Botanical Gardens. ASID is the leading organization for interior design professionals.

At Monaco Beach Club, which won in the category Renovation – Commercial over 5,000 square feet, the project consisted of creating a master plan to transform the building image and make better use of all common areas including the lobby, atrium, elevator lobby, fitness center and social room. The design allowed for more open spaces, enhanced modernized features and a warmer, more comfortable aesthetic.

For LeJardin, which won in the category Condominium/Apartment over 5,000 square feet, Wegman Design Group updated the premier gulfside building with high coffered ceilings, wood-paneled walls and French limestone flooring. A combination of new furniture, custom decorative lighting and luxurious finishes resulted in a more refined environment with casual elegance.

And for Aston Gardens – Sun City Clubhouse, which won in the category Healthcare – Independent and Assisted Living Facilities, the design team renewed the dated, drab look with a fresh bold ambience befitting the lively, active community. In the parlor, a dramatic raised ceiling with tiered chandelier recalls an old Florida grand style complimented by tropical artwork and furnishings. An impression of relaxed grandeur and lighter brighter spaces were also created in the foyer, lounge, dining spaces, sunroom, library and the resident activity center.
