PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. (Feb. 11, 2014) – Susan G. Komen Southwest Florida plans to open a new storefront location at the Port Charlotte Town Center this May. South Florida Ford dealers have generously agreed to pay the rent on the 1,200 square foot space.

“Since we opened our doors in 2002 to serve the five-county area, we have had a strong contingent of race participants, volunteers, grantee organizations and breast cancer survivors from Charlotte County,” said Charlie Myrick, executive director for Susan G. We will also sell Komen merchandise for supporters who like to ‘get their pink on,’ and we will offer free educational materials for patients and families.”

Susan G. Komen Southwest Florida is headquartered in Bonita Springs, Fla. and this is the organization’s first expansion. Port Charlotte Town Center is located at 1441 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, Fla.
